Ultimate Philly Food Truck Bracket
Ultimate Philly Food Truck: Hoagies vs. pizza and a donut-waffle showdown
Cast a vote for the city’s best mobile eats.

Are there too many great Mexican brick-and-mortars in Philly for mobile vendors to make an impact? We noticed an interesting trend in the results of the first round of the Ultimate Philly Food Truck Bracket: many of the operations offering Latin-inspired cuisine didn’t make it into the Sweet 16.
Or maybe it’s just that some of them were new to the game, because overall, the longer-standing players in the scene came out on top. Cow and the Curd trumped Cha Cha’s, Tot Cart dominated Dr. Wutzit’s Wonder Balls and Philly Fry outshined Authentic Byrek.
There were a few close calls, including 53-47 percent wins by Sum Pig over Caribbean Feast and Foolish Waffles over Sweet Lavender. Also in dessertland, cupcakes are apparently still popular — congrats on advancing, Cupcake Carnivale.
Now things start to tighten up. Cast your vote in the Sweet 16 round below (or by clicking here) until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12.
