Are our questions getting easier or are people taking more time to learn up on local info?

The eighth virtual edition of Billy Penn Philly Quizzo went down on July 15, with 65 people joining us on Zoom to play the game live — and we had our highest average score ever.

Some things in local news are definitely more familiar to more people. For example, the name of Philly’s health commissioner. It was the answer to a question on our April 4 quiz, and only 33% of people guessed correctly. It’s also the answer to a question below, and during our live event, nearly 60% of people gave the right answer.

Overall, the virtual Philly Quizzo on July 15 was a great night, with DJ BounceGawd spinning live between rounds. The winning team was “Brainteasers on Hiatus,” who took home a $50 gift card to Cicala with an impressive 23/24. The higher-than-usual average was 17/24.

Now it’s your turn. Without using Google, can you beat or match those scores?

To play, pick your the answers in the “Past,” “Present” and “Future” sections below, then click “Submit” and scroll up to “View Score” to see how you did. If the form below doesn’t work for you, access it here.

🍺 Programming note:

Our next Philly Quizzo is set for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 — and it’s a special edition.

We’re partnering with Philly Loves Beer and all questions will have a local beer theme, whether past, present or future. You’ll be vying for a $50 Pistolas gift card as the top prize, with lots of chances to win brewery swag as you play. Free RSVP here.
