If you’re a fan of movies and also love Philadelphia, this edition of Philly Quizzo is for you.
On Wednesday, we hosted our virtual trivia night in partnership with the BlackStar Film Festival, which runs now through Aug. 26. All the questions were about film, acting and production.
In keeping with the festival’s theme, we focused on highlighting work by people of color — although we did mix in plenty of Hollywood, where the fest showcases mostly independent work. Altogether, it made for a fun new set of questions about the city’s past, present and future.
Our player teams did pretty well during the live game. After a tiebreaker question, Quaranteam took home the $100 pass to the entire BlackStar fest, while Judyinphiladelphia won a $50 gift card to Johnny Brenda’s, the Fishtown bar and venue that often hosts indie shows and performers.
