Philly is home to a wide variety of seasonal and year-round farmer’s markets. If you’re on the hunt for fresh produce from local growers, you can keep your pantry stocked and your appetite satisfied. Whether you’re looking for a basket of juicy tomatoes or a dozen eggs straight from the farm, whip out that reusable shopping bag, because these spots are worth a visit.

La Placita Farm Stand
The Fairhill Farm Stand was recently renamed the La Placita Farm Stand, which translates to “little plaza,” a term of welcome in many Puerto Rican communities, according to The Food Trust. The market, which has been running for almost 15 years, is located in Fairhill Square Park and sells produce from Hayday Farms in Bucks County.

East Passyunk Farmer’s Market
Don’t miss this farmer’s market in South Philly that’s been operating for over 20 years. The East Passyunk Farmer’s Market is a great spot to grab fresh produce, as well as meat, eggs, honey and baked goods. If you’re into mushrooms, they sell a diverse variety from Primordia Mushroom Farm!

Christ Church Farmer’s Market
The Christ Church Farmer’s Market in Old City is just a block away from the site of Philly’s original 18th century farmer’s market. In addition to selling fresh produce, the market hosts various popular local vendors like Old City Kitchen, ArtByAlicia and Mt. Crystal Delights. Fairmount Farmer’s Market
Steps away from Eastern State Penitentiary, the Fairmount Farmer’s Market sells a wide selection of items, including fresh produce, cheese, vegan baked goods, jams and pies. There are tons of retail stores by the market, so it’s a perfect street to spend an afternoon exploring.

Point Breeze Community Market
A South Philly staple, the Point Breeze Community Market is a rain-or-shine stand that sells fresh produce, packaged goods and prepared food. Bonus: Their Instagram is regularly updated with their produce and food options and vendor lineup, so you can plan ahead!

Clark Park Farmer’s Market
Located right by Drexel, UPenn and St. Joseph’s University’s University City campus, the Clark Park Farmer’s Market has been a West Philly stable since 1998. You can find classic farmer’s market products like fresh produce and baked goods and also herbal teas, pickles and even wine and spirits. Their vendors vary by the week, so if there’s a certain vendor you want to purchase from, make sure to check which market days they’ll be in attendance!

Raices de Cambio Student-Run Farm Stand
The Raices de Cambio farm stand, run by the garden apprenticeship program’s youth leaders, is all about sustainability and community support. Products include vegetables, herbs for cooking and medicine, and garden plants — all grown without synthetic chemicals. Bonus: All funds raised are put right back into the neighborhood and used for garden maintenance and youth program expansion.

Black Farmer’s Market
Philly’s Black Farmer’s Market is a West Philly market with produce from 15+ local Black vendors. The market, located across from Malcolm X Park, offers products including locally grown produce, handcrafted goods, flowers and fresh juice. Additional perks of the market are live music and access to wellness workshops!

Northern Liberties Farmer’s Market
With a lineup of over a dozen rotating seasonal vendors, the Northern Liberties Farmer’s Market is a neighborhood staple. The market is located in the Piazza Alta Courtyard, which often hosts local community events. At the market, you can find all your classic fresh produce in addition to artisan chocolate and beverages from local breweries. Cheers!

Germantown Kitchen Garden
If you’re looking for organic products, you should add Germantown Kitchen Garden to your list. Produce like their organic vegetables and herb seedlings are cultivated in a greenhouse onsite, and their farm and plant nursery spans half an acre. At their weekly farm stand, you can find colorful flowers, ripe berries, fresh herbs and more.

Brewerytown Garden Farm Stand
Operating for over 10 years, the Brewerytown Garden Farm Stand is a neighborhood-run nonprofit committed to sustainable community agriculture. Fifteen of the Brewerytown garden’s plots are specifically dedicated to growing produce for the market to be sold at low prices. Everything sold at the market is either directly from the garden or from small farms nearby.

Fitler Square Farmer’s Market
The Fitler Square Farmer’s Market, in business since 2003, is run by Brogue Hydroponics, a family-owned farm in Brogue, Pennsylvania. Brogue Hydroponics’ fresh produce, like herbs, lettuce and garnishes, can be found in restaurants across the state. Some of their specialities include Bibb lettuce, Italian parsley and arugula.

Located in Society Hill, the Headhouse’s Farmer’s Market opened in 2007 and is one of the largest farmer’s markets run by The Food Trust. The market features a diverse lineup of unique rotating vendors, so if you’re looking for a specific one, make sure to check their market days online. Products available include homemade pierogies, gluten-free meringues, challah burger rolls and kombucha.

Schuylkill River Park Farmers Market
Spend a morning taking a walk along the banks of the Schuylkill River and end it with a stop at the Schuylkill River Park Farmers Market. Their 2026 lineup of local vendors come from Philly, the surrounding suburbs and New Jersey. Products you can find range from award-winning cheese to empanadas and freshly baked dog treats.

Right in the heart of Center City, the Rittenhouse Farmer’s Market is a perfect day activity to pair with a stroll in the park. With a mission of community, the Rittenhouse Farmer’s Market specifically requests that farmers be present at each stall so you can meet the people who grew your food.

Sanctuary Farm Phila Food Stand
All produce is free at this food stand in North Philly. Sanctuary Farm Phila’s food stand provides organic produce and herbs as well as access to health screenings and a resource table. Dedicated to holistic health, the organization also has therapeutic gardening and nutrition classes.
