I’m not going to sugarcoat this. The Phillies are pretty much unwatchable right now. After losing 4-2 to Max Scherzer and the Mets on Thursday afternoon and getting swept by […]

Author Archives: John Stolnis, Hittin' Season
John Stolnis grew up in Delco as a rabid fan of all Philadelphia sports, but the Phillies have always held a special place in his heart, particularly those disappointing Juan Samuel-led teams of the late 1980s. Using the internet for the reason it was intended, John began his own Phillies blog, The Felske Files, during the team's glory run of 2007-2011 and has been blogging about the Phils ever since. He created the Hittin' Season podcast at the start of the Phils' rebuild in 2015, and has amassed hundreds of episodes in the process.
John also writes about the Eagles for SB Nation's Bleeding Green Nation and hosts a weekly podcast Eye on the Enemy. Although he currently works in Washington, DC as a full-time news producer and reporter, a large portion of his soul still resides in Philadelphia and remains obsessed with the Fightin' Phils.
John lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and three sons, all of whom graciously accept him for the Philly sports diehard he is.
