Born and raised in Philly, Lamar Reed is a student at the Community College of Philadelphia. He's an aspiring videographer and writer, who's published stories about a mural celebrating a fire department’s history, and the creation and meaning of Jehmir Nixon’s song "Things that Matter".. He is a former WHYY Education student and WHYY News intern, where he created a pilot episode for a web series, worked on video projects, and conducted interviews with some of the amazing people in Philadelphia. He also occasionally uploads exercise and health videos on his YouTube channel, Reed The Man.
