Zahiya Daniels and Eyitemi Odusola are sophomores at The Philadelphia High School for Girls, , Lidya Roach and Toga Mohamed are juniors at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts and Julia R. Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School, respectively, and Sydney Huynh is a 2023 graduate of the Academy at Palumbo. They were participants in Youthcast Media Group’s summer 2023 reporting boot camp on the decriminalization of mental illness and worked with YMG Director of Content & Programs and former Plain Dealer reporter Brie Zeltner. YMG is a nonprofit that teaches high school students across the country to report on health and social issues that impact communities of color, and the solutions to these issues.
