Pub trivia is obviously lots of fun when it’s in a bar, but it’s also great when you have the whole room dedicated to the game. That’s what happened at our April BP Quizzo, which was sponsored by Newbold Exchange.
About four dozen people came out to play our Philly news and history quiz at the new South Philly coworking space, and they broke into 10 teams to answer the questions below.
The Newbold Exchange building at 1727 Snyder Ave. was once a silent motion picture house, then became a traditional movie theater, then a catering house. Then it sat empty and unused for several decades, before being turned into a spot for people to work during the day. There’s an open table area, several private offices and phone booths, a few gathering spots, and a full-service kitchen with Ultimo coffee and 2nd District Brewing beer on tap.
BP Quizzo teams spread across the ground floor and began competing across three rounds of questions.
At the end, team “Cheese Wizzos” came out on top with 18 of 24 questions correct — and each person on the team won the grand prize of a month free coworking at Newbold Exchange. “The Nacho Multiverse” won for best team name, scoring a $25 gift card to 2nd District.
