Pick a classic activity like a cake decorating class or bouquet building workshop, or do something more eclectic like brunch at the zoo or history lessons on female trailblazers.

Buttercream & Bubbly at Glen Foerd

What’s more picturesque than celebrating Mother’s Day by a historic mansion on the Delaware with mimosas and cake. Alex Niemiec of Cakes N’ Bakes is leading a cake decorating workshop for moms, daughters and friends. The best part? You get to take your frosted confection home when you’re done.

Mother’s Day Pop-Up at King of Prussia Town Center

When: Sunday, May 10, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: 155 Village Drive, King of Prussia

The King of Prussia Town Center is hosting a Mother’s Day celebration with photo opportunities and live music. Spend the morning having brunch at City Works or Paladar Latin Kitchen, hit the festivities and then end the day with a shopping spree at the mall. 

Brunch at Forsythia

When: Sunday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: 233 Chestnut Street

Forsythia is offering a Mother’s Day Brunch deal for $95 per person. The four-course menu includes options like house-baked pastries, buckwheat crêpes, a king crab omelette and a honey, chamomile crème brulé. Yum!

Mother’s Day Weekend at Longwood Gardens

When: Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10
Where: 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square

Longwood Gardens is celebrating Mother’s Day weekend by reopening its Festival of Fountains. Check out spring blooms and bask in the good vibes. Friday’s fountain show will be set to Thank You for the Music, Saturday is a Brat Pack soundtrack full of ‘80s bops and Sunday will feature a live guitar duo from noon to 3 p.m. 

Spring Art Star Craft Bazaar

When: Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 121 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd

Cherry Street Pier is throwing a craft bazaar over Mother’s Day weekend. Expect over 80 craft vendors, including Fabiola Lara’s beloved mini print vending machine. Food spots like Philly Taco, Irv’s Ice Cream, Tokio Sushi, will be there. Plus, 150 free event tote bags will be given away at select times.

PECO Family Jams at Magic Gardens

When: Sunday, May 10 from 12 to 4 p.m.
Where: 1020 South Street

Bring the energy to PECO’s family jams at the Philly Magic Gardens. Enter one of Philly’s most artistic blocks for crafts, fun and free tours of the space’s mosaic-filled basement. What’s more, tours include readings of “How to Grow a Family Tree” — the Free Library’s kids’ selection for One Book One Philadelphia.

Dine at Talula’s Garden

When: All weekend
Where: 210 W. Washington Square

Dig into delicious buttermilk fried chicken and waffles or lemon poppy pancakes at Talula’s Garden. The much-hyped spot received even more attention last year, after Taylor Swift took her mother and the Kelce gang (Jason, Kylie, Travis and Donna) to dine there. Whose to say the family won’t make the visit a tradition and come back?

City Winery: Mother’s Day R&B Brunch

When: Saturday, May 9
Where: 990 Filbert Street

City Winery is throwing an R&B Party for their Mother’s Day party. The event will include “soul-stirring” live performances for a special tribute brunch that will immerse guests into the “essence of the 90s.” 

The Zoo’s Mother’s Day Brunch 

When: Sunday, May 10
Where: 3400 W Girard Avenue

Get tickets for the Philly Zoo’s mother’s day brunch, and then hang with your favorite animal moms, like Tua the orangutan and Stella the giraffe. On Mother’s Day the zoo will be offering lawn games, food and a special craft where you can create your own picture frame and even take an adorable photo to put in it.

Mother’s Day Dumpling Making Class

When: Sunday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 2401 Walnut Street

Learn the art of dumpling making as Dumpling Academy throws a special Mother’s Day class. This fun, interactive session will give you all the tools and folding skills you need to become a dumpling-making professional. 

Flower Workshop at Love ‘n Fresh Flowers Farm

When: Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.
Where: Roxborough

Yes, you can head to your local flower shop to get your mom flowers… Or, you could make a bouquet specifically for her. Guests will harvest their favorite flowers grown in Love’n Fresh’s garden and get a free vase. Either surprise your mom or make a floral arrangement with her.

What does the American Revolution have to do with Mother’s Day? It turns out more than you think. The museum is leading performances and 10-minute gallery talks educating guests about bold historical women and mothers who paved the way for equality.
