Renewed efforts to redevelop Market East corridor 

The city has continued its plans to redevelop Market East throughout this year — including with pop-up businesses, murals, an immigrant maker space and other pedestrian-friendly retail. Now, an Engagement Hub has opened to seek public input for Market East post-America 250.

Philly shipyard to build USS Golden Defender

The ship will be part of the Pentagon’s new anti-missile defense system.
