Dinosaur costumes, signs mark last push to save Academy of Natural Sciences museum
Philadelphians rallied this weekend in a last-ditch push to keep the museum open, which closed to the public yesterday despite an offer from the William Penn Foundation for enough funding to keep the space open for at least another year. As of closing, Drexel University had not announced whether it would accept the offer.
“If Drexel’s response wasn’t an immediate ‘hell yeah,’ what are we doing here,” rallygoer Corey Miller said.

Between the bride and groom, and guests dancing to the beat of the traditional Indian dhol drum, was a replica of the 1989 Batmobile from director Tim Burton’s “Batman” films.
